Walter Ramos

Walter Ramos is a criminal defense attorney and the co-founder of Granite Criminal Defense, PLLC, where he represents individuals facing serious criminal charges throughout New Hampshire. He is committed to protecting the constitutional rights of his clients and providing strategic, results-driven defense at every stage of the criminal process.

Attorney Ramos graduated from the University of New Hampshire in Durham and the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law.  Originally from Puerto Rico, he is fluent in Spanish, allowing him to communicate and consult directly with Spanish-speaking clients, their families, and potential witnesses.

Before co-founding Granite Criminal Defense, Attorney Ramos served for five years as an Assistant County Attorney in Strafford County, where he prosecuted a wide range of criminal cases. This experience provides him with unique and valuable insight into how the State investigates, charges, and litigates criminal matters, enabling him to anticipate prosecutorial strategies before developing strong, tailored defenses for his clients.

Attorney Ramos also brings extensive military experience to his practice. He served for 11 years in the New Hampshire Air National Guard where he developed a strong sense of discipline, precision, and accountability. He currently serves as a Judge Advocate General (JAG) in the New Hampshire Army National Guard, further strengthening his litigation expertise and commitment to the highest legal standards.
